The LASIK procedure is performed using anaesthetic eyedrops without the need for any injections and takes about 10 minutes. The whole process from registration through to surgery and final discharge takes approximately 2 hours.

After treatment is completed, eyedrops will be applied and the eye protected with a protective shield or contact lens.

You will need to rest in the Centre for approximately ½ hour after the procedure. The doctor will check your eye afterwards to ensure that all is well before you go home.

It is not unusual to experience discomfort, irritation and excessive tearing in your eye for the first 24 hours. There may also be some swelling and redness of the eye.

Medications

(Please wait 5 minutes between using the different eyedrops)
